Alpha invests in Valence, the AI-powered management coaching platform

We’re excited to announce our investment in Valence, an innovative company transforming how enterprises develop their managers and frontline leaders. Alpha is participating in the company’s $50 million Series B, led by Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from Insight Partners. Alpha is proud to partner with Resolute Ventures on the investment.

Our thesis for investing in Valence is simple: While countless AI companies focus on solving technical problems, very few are addressing how most work actually gets done in large enterprises, through interpersonal communication and effective management. Valence’s flagship AI product, Nadia, provides a channel for HR teams to tackle some of the most pressing challenges of modern work — adapting to AI and new ways of working, addressing rising burnout across industries, and enabling the largest companies to operate at the speed of technological change.

Coaching for every manager

Nadia is an agentic, voice-first AI system that democratizes access to coaching and leadership development. While traditional coaching is usually reserved for the most senior executives, Nadia provides personalized, contextual guidance for managers at all levels. By analyzing company-specific data such as performance reviews and team documentation, Nadia equips managers with tailored insights and recommendations. From role-playing difficult conversations to preparing for performance reviews, Nadia makes leadership coaching scalable, practical, and impactful.

Importantly, Valence’s platform is highly adaptable. The platform integrates seamlessly into existing workflows, evolves with memory and planning capabilities, and is already delivering results. Nadia has seen strong customer satisfaction at several of the largest companies in the US including Delta Air Lines, Experian, Kraft Heinz, and General Mills.

Why Valence stands out

In our view, Valence represents the first true AI-native solution for building emotional intelligence at scale. It’s also going after a massive market opportunity. While it is currently targeting enterprise managers, the value that Nadia delivers is ultimately applicable across every company that depends on effective people leadership. Early case studies already show the powerful impact Valence can make, whether it’s ensuring smoother post-merger integrations, improving employee satisfaction, or driving stronger frontline sales performance.

Valence’s growth trajectory is also compelling. With a truly AI-native product, the company has outpaced competitors and built a robust sales pipeline driven by chief human resource officer relationships and referrals.

A shared commitment to growth

Valence is more than an AI coach, it’s pioneering a new category in enterprise technology by blending personalized coaching, organizational intelligence, and scalable leadership development. By empowering managers with actionable insights and freeing human resources teams to focus on higher-leverage activities, Valence is shaping the future of how companies grow their most important asset: their people.

We’re thrilled to support Valence on this journey alongside Bessemer Venture Partners, Insight Partners, and Resolute Ventures. Our partnership with Resolute on this deal is another example of how our unique strategy not only benefits the entrepreneurs we support and the LPs who back us, but also our VC partners.

“We are excited to continue to support Parker and the Valence team as they enter their next phase of growth,” said Michael Hirshland, Founder of Resolute Ventures. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with Alpha and working with them to continue investing in our highest performing portfolio companies as they raise additional capital.”
