Alpha Venture Partners is a next generation growth stage venture capital firm that focuses on accelerating venture backed companies. We are looking for MBA candidate interns to assist with all aspects of venture capital work this summer.
The internship work will consist of:
- Deal due diligence
- Research:
- Modeling
- Competitive research
- Ad hoc research on technology, venture capital, investors, family offices and investment institutions, mergers and exits, IPOs, markets, and the general economy.
- In addition, about 40% of the intern’s time will be spent – “doing whatever is required” – to run Alpha Venture Partners ’s business which may include attending demo days, networking, electronic filing, data entry, social networking, writing, reporting, taking notes, reading and summarizing documents.
Qualification:
Alpha Venture Partners is looking for an MBA student, who is eager to get hands-on experience in the venture capital world. The intern should be results oriented with an ability to work independently and proactively. The intern should have a good grasp of venture capital and startups and be able to dissect deal data and offer recommendations. The intern should have great attention to details and a good command of English. Please note that this is an unpaid position.
Work Atmosphere:
Past interns have gone on to become partners in venture firms. Recent CBS interns will provide a positive reference on their experience. Our office is conveniently located on the 39th floor of 1 Penn Plaza, but the internship will be remote for this Summer.
