Apptronik announces a 90,000 sq ft humanoid data factory, teases new Apollo 3 robot Apptronik has unveiled Robot Park, a 90,000 square foot data factory in Austin, where fleets of Apollo 2 robots generate real-world training data across logistics, manufacturing, and retail. Set to debut next year, Apollo 3 will move beyond the prototype stage as Apptronik’s first product built to ship. | Lime IPO happened at the 'right moment,' CEO says
Congratulations to Lime for debuting on the Nasdaq earlier this month at $27 a share, a day after pricing its IPO at $25. The scooter and e-bike company sold nearly 7 million shares, raising around $167 million. CEO Wayne Ting cited three straight years of positive free cash flow and 29% top-line growth in 2025 as reasons for the timing. A Wall Street Journal deep dive examines Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's push to route more Pentagon spending toward startups, with Saronic featured prominently. The company's drone boats are among the newer weapons systems the US has brought to bear in the war with Iran, alongside re-engineered Shahed drones. | Kalshi seeks approval to list perpetual futures tied to gold Kalshi filed for CFTC approval to list perpetual futures tied to gold, silver, and platinum, extending the 24/7 trading model it pioneered in crypto. Chief Risk Officer Udesh Jha said the platform is watching where else it makes sense to expand. | Corporate venture capital is splitting in two In a new piece in Crunchbase News, Alpha Managing Partner Steve Brotman notes that PayPal Ventures and Fidelity International both wound down their venture arms within six weeks of each other, even as corporate VC hit an all-time high. Both can be true because capital is concentrating. A short list of names, including Nvidia, Google, and Meta, drove most of last year's biggest AI rounds, while smaller corporate programs are the ones pulling back.
