| Cantor lets hedge funds place big bets on Kalshi’s prediction markets
Cantor Fitzgerald will open Kalshi's prediction markets to roughly 3,000 institutional clients, including hedge funds and family offices. Susquehanna will provide pricing and liquidity as market maker. That gives Kalshi a direct pipeline into Wall Street trading desks that Polymarket doesn't have yet. It also widens Kalshi's lead and pushes the platform beyond retail sports betting into institutional hedging on weather, commodities, iPhone sales, and AI infrastructure. Read more → |

| Family offices are firing their VCs and betting directly on AI — just as the bubble talk gets loudest
Crain Currency looked at family offices bypassing VCs to invest directly in AI, and our own Steve Brotman weighed in. He declined to call the bubble question. "I have no idea if this is a bubble, and I'd be suspicious of anyone who says they do." Across cycles, he argued, the investors who win are the ones with the best filters rather than the most enthusiasm. And there's a middle path between going fully direct and staying a passive LP. Co-invest alongside top-tier VCs deal by deal. That's the model we're built on. Read more → |
